Ubisoft, despre care nu putem uita că ni se recomandă drept „unul dintre cei mai importanţi publisheri de jocuri video din lume”, a arătat lumii editorul de hărţi integrat în versiunile pentru PC şi Xbox360 ale lui Far Cry 2. În urma vizionării trailerului de mai jos, se vede de la o poştă că scula a fost gândită pentru publicul larg, oferind tuturor posibilitatea să creeze rapid hărţi complexe şi variate. Odată ce ai creat harta, poţi găzdui o partidă pe care o poţi publica uploadînd-o pe serverele Ubisoft. O hartă publicată din mila măriei tale va deveni accesibilă tuturor şi orice utilizator o va putea modifica după bunul plac. Sigur că numele sau nick-ul tău va rămâne inscripţionat odată pentru totdeauna pe ea, la fel numele sau nick-urile celor care au modificat-o. Cele mai bune hărţi vor intra într-un fel de top. Poţi crea câte hărţi vrei, dar vei putea publica numai cinci.
Editorul va mai conţine un tool de validare care va verifica numărul punctelor de respawn şi elementele necesare pentru ca harta ta să fie jucabilă în modurile DeathMatch, Team DeathMatch, Capture the Diamond şi un mod nou, depsre care încă nu ştim mare lucru, pe nume Uprising.
