Activision: noi nu vrem Take Two, na! |

 Bobby Kotick (al cărui nume rezonează cumva cu cel al lui Niko Belic), CEO la Activison, a declarat la Goldman Sachs Technolou cel gy Investment Symposium 2008 Conference că, după întrepătunderea cu Blizard (Vivendi), Take Two nu reprezintă un obiectiv interesant pentru ei. Kotick afirmă că „we've said that we need a history of profitability, good management, the proprietary technology for a franchise, history of multimillion unit sellers. They would have to be non-dilutive and operating margin accretive,” şi continuă „for us, Take-Two didn’t fulfill those requirements. Maybe it does over the long-term for EA, but it doesn't for us." Vă amintesc că Electronic Arts a oferit 2 miliarde dolari pentru cumpărarea lui Take Two (seria Grand Thef Auto) şi că Take Two a refuzat suveran oferta.

Parerea mea e ca unele companii din domeniu au mai multa diplomatie si dau dovada de mai multa intelepciune decat decat unii giganti din domeni care taie si spanzura pe piata. Ex: Microsoft anunta ca da 45 (parca) de miliarde de $ pentru yahoo. rezultatul? a patra zi pretul actiunilor yahoo creste, depasind oferta lansata de Mircosoft. Aceeasi greseala o face si EA aruncandu-se ca râma-n piatra sa faca oferte fabuloase. Rezultatul: baietii refuza, stiind ca astfel li se face un plus (foarte consistent) de publicitate care nu poate duce decat la cresterea pretului actiunilor. Io sincer as fi vrut sa vad Take Two la Activision/Vivendi... Ar fi devenit un concurent redutabil pentru EA (chalange everything)... Avantaj noi astia "joacarii". Toate cele bune gamoholicilor...!
