Wiseman realizează filmul Gears of War |

Potrivit Variety, Len Wiseman (Independence Day, Die Hard 4, cele două Underworld) va realiza adaptarea lui Gears of War pentru cinema. Tot potrivit Variety, New Line Cinema a semnat un contract cu Chris Morgan, scenaristul lui The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift, care va reface scenariul scris iniţial de Stuart Beattie (Collateral şi Pirates of the Caribbean). Se pare că filmul are toate şansele să vadă lumina marelui ecran abia în vara anului 2010, căci Mark Rein declară că „We want to get it right. There's no timetable for us. We just want to make as good a movie as we can, and we think (Wiseman's) the guy who will do it.” Vă amintesc că lead designerul Cliff Bleszinski a primit sarcina să supravegheze întreaga producţie a filmului în scopul unei cât mai fidele reproduceri a spiritului jocului.
