Între 27-30 decembrie se desfăşoară la Berlin 23C3 , 23rd Chaos Communication Congress, mai domestic cunoscut sub numele de „festivalul hackerilor europeni”. Anul acesta, subiectul congresului este „Who Can you Trust?”, cu tematici care privesc controlul, supravegherea şi intimitatea.
În program apar numeroase conferinţe, grupuri de lucru, comunicări despre hacking, societate şi cultură, toate acestea în limbile engleză şi germană. Subiectele sunt hot: de la „Body Hacking” a lui Quinn Norton la World of Warcraft, „MMORPSs, The state and future of the World of Warcraft” de Joi Ito, sau Web 2.0 („Privacy, Identitiy and Anonimity in Web 2.0” de Udo Neitzel, Ralf Bendrath şi Jan Schallaböck). Remarcăm şi o abordare feministă prin Revenge of the Female Nerds, Busting Myths about Why Women Can’t Be Technical de Annalee Newitz şi Pornography and Technology, a love affair de Tina Lorenz, precum şi faimosul Hacker Jeopardy, unicul chestionar dedicat geeks. Întregul program (calmaţi-vă, e în limba engleză!) se găseşte pe site-ul 23C3 . Update... Am intrat de cateva minute si am vazut ca serverul lor este down. Din cate am vazut se pare ca nu au avut o conexiune destul de buna si un server puternic pentru a servi milioanele de conexiuni...oare ale hacker-ilor?
