Eh, într-un fel e reanunÅ£at, pentru că în 2005, Digital Reality (studio maghiar) anunÅ£a Ghost Wars, un joc ce urma să fie un hibrid FPS/RTS. De atunci nu am mai auzit nimic despre struÅ£ocămila asta.
În 2006, aceiaÅŸi Digital Reality anunÅ£au Field Ops, un joc ce urma să fie un hibrid FPS/RTS. De data asta, Freeze Interactive trebuia să fie publisher, dar s-a desfiinÅ£at imediat după înfiinÅ£are (era format din cei care au lucrat la Hip Interactive, adică… vechiul publisher al lui Ghost Wars). Clar, Field Ops a fost dat „missing in action” cu câteva zile înainte de apariÅ£ie.
Acum, la mijlocul lui 2008, maghiarii şi vecinii de la Atomic Motion anunţă Raven Squad: Opperation Hidden Dagger, un joc ce urmează să fie un hibrid FPS/RTS.
Raven Squad utilizează engine-ul DR Technologies ÅŸi va fi publicat de englezii de la Evolved Games care vor să-l scoată pe piaţă în toamna acestui an, pe PC ÅŸi Xbox360.
Ce faci în jocul acesta mort ÅŸi resuscitat de atâtea ori? În modul RTS controlezi două squad-uri de câte patru mercenari prin jungla amazoniană, ÅŸi poÅ£i schimba când vrea muÅŸchii tăi perspectiva la first person ca să-Å£i îndeplineÅŸti obiectivele. Fiecare soldat va avea abilităţi ÅŸi arme diferite – asta ca să poată utiliza tactici diverse.
Nu ÅŸtiu câte pretenÅ£ii poate emite jocul ăsta în 2008, cu grafica fosilizată ÅŸi HUD-ul cât Câmpia Panonică pe care aveÅ£i ocazia să le vedeÅ£i în imaginile de mai jos:

London, UK – July 3, 2008 – SouthPeak Games today announced that it will distribute Raven Squad: Operation Hidden Dagger for the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft® and Windows PC this Autumn. Published by Evolved Games, Raven Squad is set in the near future. The game is a unique blending of real-time strategy and first-person shooter genres.
Developed by Atomic Motion, Raven Squad puts players in control of two groups of mercenary squads who crash land behind enemy lines in the Amazonian jungles. It will require tactical planning and a liberal amount of brute force to escape to safety. Each of the eight squad members possesses distinctive skills and weaponry that the player will have to use wisely to progress through the game's story driven objectives. Raven Squad sets itself apart by allowing players to switch freely between real-time strategy and first-person shooter gameplay. Only by mastering both of these modes of play, and becoming adept at switching between the two, will players make it out of the jungle alive.
