Anunţat oficial abia acum trei zile, Warhammer 40.000: Dawn of War II are deja un site oficial pe care descoperim primele imagini din RTS-ul dezvoltat de Relic. Jocul ar trebui să ne ofere o campanie singleplayer non-liniară şi un mod multipalyer în coop. În privinţa gameplay-ului, se pare că părăsim terenul strategiei ca să intrăm pe cel al tacticii: probabil că nu o să mai construim baza şi nu vom mai putea controla mai mult de maxim şase squad-uri, dar vom avea de câştigat în ceea ce priveşte armele şi echipamentul pe măsură ce înaintăm în joc.
Cum nu vom mai putea produce trupe noi, va trebui să ţinem cu dinţii de cele pe care le avem, şi să le protejăm cu ajutorul sistemului de cover dezvoltat pentru Dawn of War şi îmbunătăţit în Company of Heroes. Dacă tot veni vorba de Company of Heroes, Dawn of War II utilizează acelaşi engine (Essence Engine 2), iar environment-urile sunt destructibile. Cu toate acestea, Relic a declarat că Dawn of War II NU va fi un Company of Heroes în universul Warhammer.
